Sri Lanka participates in positioning Sri Lankan gems and jewellery at the 2025 Beijing International Jewellery Fair, held in Beijing from March 19 to 23, 2025.

Delivering the guest speech, Ambassador Majintha Jayesinghe recalled the rich history of Sri Lanka's gem and jewellery industry and urged the Gem and Jewelry Trade Association of China to support Sri Lankan jewellery companies in expanding their market share in China's lucrative consumer market. Minister (Commercial) Nalika Kodikara, along with Sri Lankan gem and jewellery companies, attended the fair.
